The following terms and conditions are intended to keep Savvy Tutors in Beaufort, South Carolina a safe place for customers. By hiring Jakkia’s services, you accept these terms and conditions. Contact her if you have any further questions.
Savvy Tutors
Payment
The Student agrees to pay the Tutor an hourly rate or a block price based on agreeance for tutoring services. The Student understands that he/she will be charged for time in one-hour increments. Students must schedule all tutoring hours within 3-7 days. All unused tutoring hours will be void 10 days after purchase and will neither be redeemable nor refundable after this time period.
Cancellation
If the Student cancels a session in less than 24 hours without notice, the Student will be billed for that session. The Student may cancel a prepaid session up to one hour before the scheduled time for reasons regarding an emergency and apply any pre‐payment to a future session.
Lessons not attended for any reason by the Student without giving 24 hours prior notice to the Tutor will be charged at the full rate. If the Tutor cancels a session for any reason within 24 to 48 hours prior to the start of the session, that payment will be applied to a future session that the Tutor and the Student agree upon.
Location
The Student will pick a convenient public place for tutoring services.
Student Expectations
The Student MUST provide information to the Tutor to assess and identify subject areas that the Student requires specific tutoring. The Student agrees to provide his/her own materials needed for each tutoring session (i.e., notebook, writing instrument, computer, etc.). The Student agrees that any assignment, exercise, or homework forms an integral part of tutoring and undertakes to complete such work thoroughly and promptly.
No Guarantees or Warranties
The Student understands that Savvy Tutors does not guarantee any specific outcomes as a result of tutoring. Savvy Tutors will assign a tutor to The Student to help him/her succeed. The rest depends on the Student.
Termination
The tutoring contract may be terminated by either party at any time. The Student or the Tutor must give written notice(s) to the other party(parties) within seven days.
Minors
If the Student is a minor, the Parent/Guardian must sign the tutoring contract on behalf of the Student and shall accept and agree to all of the terms and conditions contained herein on behalf of the Student.
